The other day, we talked about a few of Design House Agency’s favorite
graphic design companies in the United States and the innovative work they have created for their wide range of clients. Today, we want to discuss some of the more specific things creative agencies do and the value they add to brands. At a creative agency, copywriters, graphic and web designers, videographers (when requested) and art directors come together to develop and execute ad campaigns to generate brand awareness for a client’s company, product, and/or service. The ultimate goal is to put together a creative brief, which is the first concept of the campaign created after various meetings, conversations, interviews, etc. with the client. In the past decade, creative agencies have placed heavy emphasis on developing digital ad campaigns to help with branding versus traditional marketing via television and billboards. While the latter is still a significant part of most companies marketing strategy, many agencies are encouraging clients to be innovative and be more creative on the web. Many creative agencies work with companies whose campaigns they develop will only be implemented digitally. Some companies believe strongly in the power of the Internet and publish new content and campaigns on a daily basis. Red Bull is an excellent example of a company that has fully committed to creative marketing and branding on the web. They developed one of the most popular Twitter hashtags, #givesyouwings, sent a man into space where viewers could watch his free-fall from the stratosphere live on YouTube (“Red Bull Stratos with Austrian skydiver Felix Baumgartner”), and have generated over two million subscribers on YouTube and almost forty million fans on Facebook. Red Bull has heavily invested on the Internet space to promote their diverse international marketing campaigns and as a result, has seen a huge return on their investment. By working with both an in-house creative agency (Red Bull Creative) as well as seeking support and guidance from outside ones such as Kastner & Partners in the United States, Red Bull was able to maximize its digital marketing impact on a variety of channels (e.g. email, blogs, their website, and social media).
